Established in 1977, Simtom Food Products
has long since acquired a reputation for
the creation and manufacture of some of
the UK's finest Indian foodstuffs, and supply
the Catering, Industrial and Retail sectors
throughout the UK and Worldwide. Recently
listed in ASDA (part of the WALLMART family),
Simtom supply Cooking Sauces, Curry Pastes
and Concentrates, Pickles, Chutneys and
Chilli Sauces. With the vast majority of
Simtom’s products now approved by the Vegetarian
Society, vegetarians everywhere can also
take advantage of our fine reputation.
Whilst most of the production and manufacturing
is based in Leicestershire, UK, the raw ingredients
are carefully sourced in India and shipped to
the factory under the strictest audit control
regime thus maintaining the highest standards
recognised by our discerning customers.
The formulations and recipes are unique to Simtom
and are a closely guarded secret, passed down
through the generations of the Chandarana family.
It will come as no surprise that Simtom's fine
range of Pickles and Chutneys have consistently
taken first place in routine 'blind tasting'
events, often beating the more famous Indian
food brands into second and third place. The
secret to this success is down to the "time
and care taken in the manufacturing process,
without rushing or cutting corners for the sake
of profit", adds Jai Chandarana, MD of Simtom.
