Allium Satvium, is the latin name for Garlic and is probably one of the oldest ingredients used in many food preparations of cultures ranging from the Indian, Chinese, Mediterranean, European and Arabic just to name a few. The extremely pungent odour and highly distinctive taste can define the flavour of any meal. It is mostly an acquired taste.
