Mango Pickle Mild
Maangakari’ or mango pickle, like the lime pickle family, is another common Indian table accompaniment and owes much of its survival and popularity largely to the British empire. The mango was always appreciated as a delicious tropical treat, but the pickling and preserving of raw mangoes was second nature to old English custom. The humble mango has now been elevated to ‘premium status’ as a fruit of many tastes.
