Simtom Food Products Ltd – Featured in the Food & Drink
Parliamentary Review 2017

Simtom Food Products Ltd have won the highest accolade in the country’s best performers league by being selected by PM Theresa May to feature in her Annual Food & Drink Parliamentary Review for 2017.

The Annual Parliamentary Reviews feature selected groups of companies who have excelled in UK best practice standards and demonstrated their ability to grow their businesses and create opportunities for employment and innovation within their chosen sector.

The Simtom success experience is typically a ‘rags to riches’ story which underpins what can be achieved by sheer determination and professional tenacity.

Chairman Jai Chandarana comments: “My philosophy is very simple, ‘do it well and get it right first time’. This has been the driving principle from the birth of the company and undergirds our current working ethos”.

From its humble origins in 1977, Simtom have grown to become a £15 million turnover business in 2018 with a manufacturing portfolio that takes in a wide range of exotic and gourmet flavours from across the world like; Mexican Salsa’s, Italian Pasta Sauces, Oriental Stir Fry Sauces, Thai Cooking Sauces, Indian Cooking Sauces and Traditional British Chutneys and Accompaniments. The jewel in the crown for 2018 has to be the new Tomato & Vodka Soup (which is also up for a national award).

MD Bhavin Chandarana affirms: “As a family run business our reputation is always at stake. The challenges are very onerous and we have to be totally focused in our business to be at the top of our game. The quality audit starts at the point of sourcing our raw products and only ends when we have a satisfied customer at the point of delivery”.

Simtom are currently planning for some substantial production innovation and logistics expansion for 2018 and beyond. More will become apparent as time rolls on.
