Sweet Mango Chutney
Chutney is an Anglo-Indian loan word taken from the Hindi ‘catni’. Like most chutneys, Sweet Mango Chutney has become synonymous with Indian food and is a regular accompaniment at most Indian restaurants as part of a starter with Poppadoms or as a main accompaniment with Indian meals. The popularity of Indian chutneys are owed greatly to the spread of the British empire with the importation of all things Indian, especially the preserved food delicacies that still grace many of our tables.
